Alt Name: Harpswell. Opened: 1916?. Status in 1944: RAF. 1 Grp. Bomber Ops. Current use: Agriculture. Remarks: Thor missile site until 1963. Runways removed for hardcore,some parts of runways visible on the other side of main road. Peri/track adjacent to control tower and hangers still in situ. Buildings used for light industry and storage. Large open air market held every Sunday. Parts of Thor site still visible in eastern corner. (12/2003)
